Can I apostille a Texas
death verification letter?

Yes, the Texas Secretary of State will issue an apostille certificate if an original Texas death verification letter that was issued from Texas Vital Records/Texas Vital Statistics is presented to them.

For non-Hague Convention member countries, the U.S Department of State will also issue federal authentication certificates, and at any foreign U.S embassies in Washington D.C, the embassy will legalize this vital records letter but only after the death verification letter has been issued the required state (Texas or another U.S state) and federal (USDOS) level authentication certificates.
