Can anyone order someone's
Texas death certificate?

No.

Access to ordering Texas death certificates is restricted to 25 years from the date of death and can only be ordered by the decedent’s father, mother, child, spouse, sibling, a legal representative of the families, or the final estate of the deceased person.

A person or company can also provide a court order that will order the State of Texas to release a Texas death certificate over to you or a legal representative (like Birth Certificate Texas). If you ordered a Texas death certificate and you’re not an immediate family member you must provide legal documentation (such as an insurance policy that lists you as the beneficiary) that documents a direct legal interest in the Texas death certificate copy.
