Can I obtain a Texas death marriage
letter at the county level instead of
at the state level?
According to a supervisor at the Texas Vital Records office when we asked this exact question in December 2021 they said, “it is our understanding that the Texas Vital Records office is the only state-level or county-level government agency that issues Texas marriage verification letters.”
